So, instead of another walking story, a trip into town to start this episode. Tinrhir is about 10 kms away so we need transport to get there. Van? Too much trouble, lets take a taxi. well, lets wait for one, as you do, outside the campsite and one will come! And it does, taking us straight to town with little fuss. These Mercedes taxi's are allowed to carry 6 people! 4 in the back and 2 next to the driver. It's quite a squeeze. But at 5 dirhams a head, quite a bargain too.
This picture is not us waiting for a taxi! but it might as well be. Sitting on the wall, waiting!
I think this pic is of us returning from a walk and ?? sitting on the wall?? waiting? I forget why.
For the moment and to add credibility to our day out, the shot works for today and the taxi came.
Now take a closer look at the picture on the left and you'll see that our Adam has been keeping a little cafe venture secret from the family! Snack Chez Adam.
You can see I'm making this up as I go along, as I stand in the shade of the new shop Krysia and I are opening! We're going to sell sand, to the Arabs! for building??

Her I can be seen buying tools at my favorite street vendor, all laid out for me to choose everything I don't really need! But I buy a set of socket spaners I have only seen here in Morocco.
At a pound each, I know I've got a bargain. My smiling vendor seems to enjoy my enthusiasm for his 'quality' products.
And at another shop I find yet more high quality products to peruse. Bellows, now when you need a good blow to get a fire going, there is nothing quite like a bellows. And these beauties at 30 dirhams are just the job.

'He's nuts, he's my Dad but he's nuts. These have got to be the most rustic hand made anythings he could have found in all Morocco. No, I tell a lie, the shoes he bought in Rissani, they were the most rustic, hand made item he bought. I'm not quite sure what I mean by rustic? '

Grinning like a Cheshire cat, He's straight out of Alice in Wonderland.
And if the queen of Hearts had her way, his head would be on the slab just like this poor cow.
They certainly parade their produce here, just like we used to in UK back in the 60's. I think it was called a Butchers. !
Lets get back to the Palmerie walks, town was done and dusted, taxi back with tons of veg and fruit. 2 bellows and some spanners!
Time for the young ones to take a break and go walking on their own. Although we've been here before, their walk takes them to known places and unknown. A time to themselves.
So have a rest parents because we young ones are going on an adventure.
The old town is left crumbling for all to see. A new town has sprung up around the old one.
Lead the way Storm.
Returning back to dust, from where it came from. Storm investigates the ruins and gets caught in the spell. A time gone by, homes without people. A history bare for all to see. You can almost hear the voices. Almost. This is a beautiful place. Life presents its problems and we need to take break. We're having a fine time Ma n Pa, wandering through the warm Palmerie. Soaking up some needed sunshine. We've travelled enough already, lets relax, and we do. We spend 5 nights here just being ourselves. We're having a holiday together as a family. Fantastic. We're in Morocco.!
Storm and i wander slowly back to the campsite to find Pa n Ma still waiting at the veranda wall ! Have they not moved? Are they worrying about us? They look happy enough. Maybe they are waiting to hear the frogs, who make a right old din when they start up. Almost deafening at times and then they merge into the overall atmosphere of being here, wind in the trees, cricket song and frogs mating!!!
Tinrhir, a real jem of a place.
Apart from describing more walks, I'll end this episode on just being here. Sometimes more than anything else, joy can be found in the simplest pleasures.
Like playing on the back of the van!
And screaming like a monkey, you little monkey
So nice to have you with us Jaimie n Storm.
We are so lucky.
But we have to leave for Marrakech and get you to the plane on time, so it's good bye Tinrhir. You've got water and sun, tranquility and excitement. And Frogs !
What more could we want?
