That's enough, no more surf shots of me! I've had a whole blog to myself and now we need a few pictures of our fellow campers and Imsouane. We spend 10 days here and it all adds up to a good time. Friends come and go as the days lengthen and spring sunshine becomes very hot. April becomes May and this Moroccan trip is entering it's 3rd month.
When we arrive from Marrakech, we find Jean-Loup almost alone but not quite. Jose and his son Alex are here, from Biscarosse, France. So the wolf has had some company other than Jamie campsite! Jose picks up his wife and daughter, Carole and Laury, from the airport soon and is having a well earned holiday. The Michels are a lovely family.
Jose surfs well, well he would coming from Biscarosse.
Family Michel, with myself, Krysia, Jean-loup and Eric.

Two more surf shots of Jose, thanks to the eagle eye of ace photographer, Krysia.
As well as a fine drawing of Jose entertaining us
Then there is Jean-Loup, our resident za-zen monk and well liked man around town. He can take several hours just getting bread from the village! He stops and talks to everyone. Blah, blah, blah, going to the shops with him and you can be hanging around for ages waiting as every shop keeper seems to want to pass the time of day with thee wolf! At 63, he's seen some life and more. A keen surfer, in fact a passionate surfer, he spends 3 months here every winter, catching every swell he can before returning to his home in Toulouse.
' Come on Jimmy, it's not like that! ' he says often to Jaimie campsite but is a constant visitor to the house on the hill where these photo's were taken.

The view of the ocean and Imsouane is stunning from Jamie's cabin on the hill, Jean-Loup stands on the veranda on his last night before leaving for home.
But now, Some surf shots of you Jean the wolf.

riding the nose
No standing on water now, as your blue gun is born again !
These people make Imsouane what it is, for us. There are more. Such as the campsite owner, Jamie.
Here, seen sweeping the veranda of his latest project, the house on the hill, Jamie has brought the campsite from scrub land to what it is today. The view from this wooden built house is amazing. It really should rent out well, there are no others to compare with it here (or anywhere for that matter).
His project has taken 7 years of his life, so far. He is battling with working in Morocco and being, at present, alone.
Although, we're sure that won't last!
And Nordine, living alone in the Oued, is the local surfer here. He chooses quiet calm over crowded hot spots. From Casablanca, he's not a true local, but is one in every sense of the word. If only there were more like him! Sharing The Oued with him, Jean-Loup and Jose has been a highlight for me.
Here, he is captured reflecting on the waves that break straight out in front of his modest little patio.

A cool surfer, he catches far more waves than the rest of us! Quiet and reserved on land, in the water, his rides are everything as well as the calm vibrations that are a requirement to get on with Nordine. Fine in my book, we get on well. He smiles at me and I back. Apart from hello, there's not a lot else to be said. Enjoy the waves, be cool.
There are plenty of waves here, no need to struggle for them. No need to fight, just a little respect please. I live here.

The sun sets, as seen from the Oued, as seen from Nordine's place. Each day comes and goes, we all get a little older, were all in the same boat. Sailing together.
